Your August Resources Are Here!

All around the world, families are getting ready to head back to school. Some year-round students had a few weeks off from the classroom, while others have had three whole months of too much Minecraft.

So while parents are out refilling notebooks, sharpening pencils, and buying way too many glue sticks to help their children for school, you can give them resources that help get parents ready for school. Such as:

Help to Help Your Child with Difficult Teachers (OPC)

Lunchbox Notes: Wisdom Edition (Toolbox)

And because we know you’re prepping for parents, we included a coaching video centered around how to bring parents on board into your ministry or organization. Soooooo keep on scrolling to see all the goodies you get this month!

It’s our privilege to partner with you in ministry.

TOOLBOX

WHAT IS IT?

Parents can give their children a little bit of wisdom each day with these simple notes based on verses from the Bible. They can print the inspirational messages, slip them into their kids’ lunchbox, tape them on the bathroom mirror, or read over them during dinner. They can also leave a personalized note on the back for an extra special touch.

HOW TO USE IT?

  • Print and give to your parents as a handout.
  • Print and give to your volunteers so they can give them to students.
  • Hand them out to the students in your ministry.
  • Add it to your church website.
  • Email directly to parents.
  • Use the Word document to create your own.

COACHING VIDEO

how to onboard parents into your ministry

As church leaders, we often think about helping new students join as they enter into our ministry area, a process called “onboarding.” But what if we intentionally helped parents onboard into our ministries? How can we help new parents? If we do a good job of onboarding new parents, we have a great chance of keeping families involved.

In this video, you will learn practical tips like creating one-page sheets and the importance of telling parents what they want to hear first versus what we find essential.
