Times of crisis are difficult and can be life-changing for students of all ages. This toolbox resource helps you care for families in crisis in the areas of Divorce, Addiction, and Death. Each section offers:
- Hints & Helps
- Email/ Direct Message Templates
- Care Package
- Follow Up
- Resources Handout
How Do I Use It?
There are multiple ways to use this resource.
- Download the PDF and save the file under the folder “Families in Crisis” for future use.
- Click the TextEdit file to easily copy/paste the pre-written emails and texts as needed.
- Print the “Resource Handout” section of the Toolbox and give it to families in need.
- Print the “Care Package” section of the Toolbox and ask volunteers to give to families.
- Email it to your volunteers for an online training session.
- Host a volunteer training on the subject “Families in Crisis” and use the PDF for training.
